Back in October my son had molluscum on his legs. There were very few, but they were big. So I covered what there were with band-aids/apple cider vinegar overnight. The next day he had gazillions of tiny bumps and his leg looked like raw meat, which he scratched open. We were at the doctor for unrelated strep (😢) and she gave him an antibiotic cream and said it looked like it was healing so just leave it alone. It took probably 6 weeks, but it completely went away.
Now it’s back but on his arms, this time lots of little bumps instead of a few big ones. He is in an outside ocean camp this week and next so I don’t really want to mess with it too much, it’s also too big an area to cover with bandaids. I searched here the first time and found a lot of things recommended that are no longer on Amazon Anything that you have used RECENTLY that has helped? I know we can go and get the beetlejuice at the derm, but they have a long wait list, our pediatrician said she doesn’t do that.
None of the topical meds worked for DD when she had this. DD has super sensitive skin and several of the topical solutions burned her skin or caused other skin issues. Our doctor recommended OTC tagamet, it cleared up in like 2 weeks. I'm not sure it was coincidence since we'd been fighting them forever, but its worth a try if your doctor oks it.
If they're not bothering him, I'd just leave it. It's not inherently a problem, just kind of annoying. Both of my kids had it, my DD for like 18 months. We ended up taking both kids to the derm, DD had a good experience and DS had a terrible one (more sensitive skin).
