I thought I read an article a few days ago saying that gas prices were supposed to be dropping. Au contraire, msnbc--they have risen 15 cents here in the past week!
Paid $4.39/gallon (and that's not premium--that's for the "crappy", lowest price gas) this morning to fill up....thank goodness I drive a small car.
Are gas prices ridiculous near you as well? (I would do a poll, but I don't know how to create one on this new board).

Gas prices around me dropped $0.02 between Wednesday and Thursday. I paid $3.55/gallon on Wednesday but that was because I got $0.20/gallon from grocery points.
We were up over $4 a couple weeks ago but I paid $3.69 yesterday and that's in a relatively HCOL area. The only two places I have seen it over $4 is the gas station next door because it's the only one in our neighborhood and one in the district that was over $5... obviously that person was smoking crack.
Prices in my area have gone down at least 10-15 cents. Also got a discount of $.40 a gallon because of a rewards program with our grocery store, paid $3.43/gal.
I think ours are dropping. A few months ago they were creeping up right around $4/gallon, and now they're hovering back around the mid-$3 range - that's for ethanol, though, which is heavily subsidized in this state.
