Donating left over tile

We have leftover wall and floor tile. Some boxes are opened, but still have 2/3 box full of tile. We want to save some, but want to donate the rest. I see the closest Habitat says onky complete boxes of flooring accepted. I will call tomorrow to verify, but if they won't take it do you know somewhere else that will?

Sometimes schools / places that teach art classes will take it for making mosaics but they generally like bright colors.

I’d post it in my Buy Nothing or put it on the curb with a free sign and possibly post it in another resale / free group.

They are not brightly colored. Our road only has 4 houses on it coinying ours, so no one likely to drive by and see it. FB might be an option.

BNG was how we offloaded most of our extra tile over the years. I figure as long as it goes on to avoid a landfill, I'm happy with that.

I would post that on Buy Nothing, for porch pickup, and I guarantee it'd go.  Far and away the easiest option for me!

I have had great success giving away stuff like this on Facebook. We don’t have active Buy Nothing groups so I post it for free on Marketplace. I’m very clear that it is pick up only, preference for a quick pick up, and list my neighbourhood/closest reference point.

Ignore the “can you deliver 3 hours away? can you hold for 14 weeks?” If I answered your question clearly in my ad, I’m not doing the work again.

Do you have other local salvage material stores in your area? That's where we bought a lot of our material when we redid our home years ago and wanted LEED Silver Certification.
(including flooring from a bowling alley in our neighborhood that we now have as our kitchen island 🙂)

I have not heard of any other places locally. I think I will try FB. That is so cool that you could do that!
