We've having some guys over for this weekend's football game. MH asked if we can serve sausage & pepper sandwiches and cheesesteak sandwiches. Fine.
What cut of beef should I get for the steak sandwiches? I'm Googling and the most popular suggestions are skirt steak, rib-eye, sirloin, and top round/London broil. I want something tasty that won't break the bank. There are probably 5-8 people coming besides the two of us.
Would you make a side to go with the sandwiches? I'll put out chips, maybe make some Buffalo wings, and probably bake brownies for dessert, so the sandwiches won't be the only food. Should I buy a couple bags of frozen french fries? A big bowl of green salad would probably be best (since everything else is heavy and greasy) but IDK if the guys would eat that. Any ideas?
We host regular parties for baseball season. With our group of friends, I find that veges with a ranch dip or hummus will go; but a green salad won't. Pickles and olives are also popular and a little lighter.
