The owner of the bar I worked in college had a Land Cruiser and I drove it a lot and loved it. God I can't believe that was almost 15 years ago. Right now I'd really just like a nice Maxima. Not that crazy. It will be awhile though. We will drive my corolla until the day it dies. And you know it's the rotten ones that live forever
Dude, Sara, I think I am going to drive my car until the day it dies too. I did with my last car - although that car was awesome! A 1998 VW Cabrio. Man, I kinda wish I still had it.
Right now I have a 2006 VW Jetta. The thing is a piece of shit. The headliner fell, the black plastic on the radio is peeling off, and just this past Tuesday Macy pulled the inside door panel off and I have no idea how to get it back on. OMGosh, it's getting to the point where the thing is embarrassing to have people ride in my car.
Oh and the air fucking sucks. Like it only kinda gets cold. It totally sucks balls when it's 105 degrees outside. Macy sits and the back seat and sweats Poor girl.
After I get my boobs and I am going to try my hardest to talk my H into letting me get a new one. I have been looking around and fell in love with a 2010 BMW 328i. It's red. It's pretty. And it's not TOO badly priced.
If H gets the promotion he's working for it comes with a 3 series BMW. So then I'd never get a maxima, but we'd have a new company leased BMW every year so I'd get over it. . H is ehh about the BMW, he would prefer an allowance to get his own choice of vehicle but the company doesn't budge on that.

Both my husband and I owned "luxury" vechiles in our 20's (I drove an Audi, he drove a BMW). While we didn't know each other then, we both had them in the shop for expensive repairs way too often - and would be driving loaner cars while we waited for parts to come in. Don't even get me going on the cost and time to have body work done when we were hit by other drivers.
Honestly, we'd rather have cars that are reliable and easy to fix - and put extra money towards retiring early, because that's our ultimate goal
H does all our maintenance on our cars. But we drive Nissan and Toyota. He has worked on his sisters Mercedes before but those and BMWs are definately more work. If we did get the 3 series the company covers all that. We would just be out time.

I'm with most of you and would love a Range Rover, preferably pewter color with nice rims. I know the cost for maintaining so a more realistic car would be the Toyota Solara. I had one about 7 years ago and traded it in for an SUV and I have always regretted doing that.
Don't tell me that about the BMW 3 series. I know it's super impractical but I still want one, LOL
My BFF had a 5 series (but traded it in for a new Esclade - which is $$$$) and she never had an issue with hers. But then again, she only drove it for a year and a half before she decided she NEEDED an SUV.
Hmm, maybe I will think about an Infiniti instead?
