Considering no one can sit in the front seat with the car seat installed, or they can, but their knees will be in their chest and their head in the windshield, I'm thinking sooner than later a new car will need to be purchased.
I'm pushing for a Honda Pilot.
What kinda car do you want, realistically, when your current one dies?
We're planning on trading in my 2005 CRV for an Odyssey this December. Yes, I'll be driving a minivan and I still can't wrap my head around that fact. But it's the most practical ride if we are to have 3 in carseats.
I would really like an Infinity SUV, but no can afford, even used. I can't justify spending $35K+ on a car.
I am thinking my next car will be a used BMW sedan, but only by a year or two. Yes, I could get a cheaper used car (like a Toyota or a Honda - not a fan of American cars) but I have had a car crush on BMWs for quite some time and that's what I am really pulling for.
I don't see it happening for at least another year or two

H and I bought a 2012 Dodge Journey last September and we LOVE it!! It's roomy, has 3 rows and a great ride. We won't be buying another car for a longgg time!
I'd like a small SUV. Maybe a Jeep Compass or something similar. H just bought a Nissan Pathfinder. It's perfect for all the baby things + 2 dogs when we all go down the cape.
When we were shopping for the Nissan, we looked at a Chysler Pacifica. It was nice and roomy, but I don't think they make them any more. Although, I saw a CRV and I liked it. I'm 80% sure I am done kid-wise, so it'd be perfect.

We were looking at purchasing a Ford Edge. I am so in love with them. When it came down to it, I chose the 2011 Camry over the 2007 Edge (price wise). I am so in love with my Camry though. If money wasn't an option, I would have bought an Acura MDX. My BFF just bought one, it is so pretty.....but I will pass on the $900 car payment.

I want a gmc Acadia, love them! I do really like my Hyundai Santa Fe but it will be too small once we have a second baby if we ever want to take the dog with us anywhere!

We just bought a VW Tigon this summer, which I'm loving, and H was about the buy the Acura TL he's been leasing, but neither of them will fit 3 car seats, so it looks like H will take the VW, and we are going to get something with a 3rd row. We are researching SUVs at the moment, but I have a feeling once we really start looking at them, we'll end up with a mini van. I'm resisting, but I know it will make life so much easier when I'm juggling 3 kids.
