Well I don't think Rompers themselves are girly, C wears them all the time. But I have to admit, when I first saw the picture before reading your post, I thought he was a girl. Maybe that particular romper just looks a little girly?

I don't think it's girly, but it not "boyish" either. As pp's stated, it's classic toddler.
DS wore rompers all last summer, until he was about 14 month as they were so easy. I preferred less "traditional" on him, favoring knitted/tshirt material with open legs.

I agree with Emmybean. Maybe not girly, but definitely babyish. Of course, I don't like that real traditional style for my boys, so take my opinion for what it's worth.
a little babyish but not girlie. I like that look but lately find that the pastels etc just don't look right on my 13 month old. He will be living in overalls (including bubble hemmed ones) and rompers (with short sleeves) this summer... just in darker colors (plus I don't want to have to worry about him ruining pale clothes)
I think whoever is telling you that you're dressing your child like a girl needs to mind their own business (unless of course it's your husband...lol).
I love jon jons and rompers for little boys - I don't think they are girly and I don't think it's too babyish, either. MH and I agreed that we would stop putting them on Jackson at age 2, even though they go up to much larger sizes (especially smocked versions in the south) b/c he didn't like them very much. It was a compromise that worked for us.
Yes, it's DH naysaying. I love them because they fit better over fluffy diapers than more "current" styles. There is a store in the mall that specializes in well-made traditional clothes, but I don't want to spring the money for them if DH thinks they're too girly.
