In the most non-judgmental way possible, I would really just love to hear from Maria Shriver how she stayed married to him for as long as she did. I know somewhere that the article does mention counseling but I just can't imagine the feeling of being lied to over and over or having things concealed like that and only finding out later.

People who do those things to their spouses are great at making the spouse feel like they're the crazy one and that all the signs are just in their head. It's emotional abuse.
