So my office d.c. is casual -- like yoga pants/jeans/t shirts/flip flops if that's your thing. This week we had corporate guests and other special guests so for those 2 days our office admin requested business casual in the office. I work in agriculture, but I assumed everyone knew how to look presentable. Wrong. We had:
a woman in a short sundress with cowboy boots a woman with DENIM shorts on and high heels flip flops galore a few casual cotton maxi dresses
For reals? Talk about embarrassing. If they were unsure maybe they could've googled it? Any of you all had a similar experience?
I'm a teacher and I am constantly being surprised by what subs wear - especially if it's their first time in the building. We are a relatively casual school, but the level of dress really runs the gamut throughout the district. I've seen leggings with shirts that barely cover the butt, etc. When I am going into a new building, I always air on the side of conservative.

That is crazy! Our office is supposed to be business casual and I would say there are a few people who lean more towards casual. haha. BUT It's California so I'm thinking maybe it's a little less than east coast.

Friday we are allowed to wear jeans (We are business casual also...more on the casual side)
Today we have a lady...like in her 50s...in a VS pink tank (with blue bra straps showing), VS pink foldover yoga pant and ON flip flops. WTF. Sorry, I know it's Friday but that's insane. I have those yoga pants too but I would NEVER wear them to work.
