Tell Me About St.Croix

My husband and I are looking to go to St. Croix the end of October beginning of November. What do you think of it? What did you do? Where did you go? We're looking to stay at the Renaissance St. Croix Carambola Beach Resort & Spa.

My H and I went to St. Croix for our honeymooon a little over 5 years ago. We absolutely LOVED it. We stayed at The Buccaneer. We took a day trip over to St. Thomas and the other time just enjoyed the island. We frequently went the little town (forgot the name) on the harbor, went to Buck Island for snorkeling (it was beautiful)...We would go back in a heartbeat.

It's pretty laid back...and that is exactly what we were looking for!!!

We've done St. Croix via cruise, and really liked the island. One of the things I would absolutely recommend is a day snorkel tour with Big Beards it was a fantastic day!!

You are referring to Christiansted

Carambola is great. Also is the Buccaneer. They are the only two I would recommend. Carambla is REALLY off the beaten path though but was renovated back in 2009-2010. Bucaneer I dont think has had renos but it does not need any. It is well kept and closer to Christiansted but still not walkable.
