The BF arrived at my house an hour ago and said, "Honey, pack a small bag and a swimsuit. We're not sleeping in (X City) tonight."

I was given no clues on even how to pack.

He knew I'd been wanting to go to Ikea and see my best friend, so he got a really nice hotel for the evening. We ate at a great restaurant and sat in the hot tub last night, and are on our way to breakfast now to start the day. It's nice to not have to spend 2 hours in the car, then walk around and shop, then get right back in the car and go home, which is what I usually do.

It's been a nice little time away! No cats or roommates on the other side of the door! lol

I love the mini vacays.. Me and the bf use to do this every couple weeks, drive an hour and stay at this one place a little outside of the city.. It's just nice to get the vacation feel with out the vacation price..

How nice. Glad you had a good time. I could spend days in IKEA and the closest one is 4 hours away.
