Did any of you have issues when you went off the pill? I have never had trouble while on it (like weight gain, acne, sickness etc) so I hope I won't have too many issues when I go off? I'm on the lowest form of estrogen, if that matters.
I was sort of researching it last night, and it seems that a lot of people complained of crazy side effects like skin breakouts to rival a teen and weight LOSS when they went off bc. But some of the women posting the things I'm reading sound a bit...dramatic, I guess?? (on random websites; not here) So I thought you ladies would be a better resource TIA!
My incredibly heavy and painful periods returned, but I'm hoping that was caused by the fibroid I just had removed. Other than that... nothing much, I guess. I still get acne, but nothing crazy,

Hello! I went off of bc in January and the first 4-6 weeks were pretty bad. I had headaches, cramps and nausea. Since then, my skin has been breaking out and I have noticed weight gain - not loss. It's probably different for everyone, but it's been pretty awful.
I went off BCP a month and a half ago. I've had a lot of headaches, but it's hard to tell whether I've actually had more than usual or I'm just noticing them more now that I'm recording everything on my chart. Other than that, I haven't had any symptoms. My first cycle off BCP seemed pretty normal in terms of ovulation and cycle length, though my period was shorter than in the past (only 2 days).

I never had trouble while being on the pill (aside from low sex drive and some moodiness maybe), but going off of it sucked. It was horrible. I was swollen (still am off and on a month later), I had insanely sore boobs, cramps, aches, nausea, heightened smell, etc. I've also gained weight within just a few weeks..I think it is probably tied to it. Anyway, I was miserable for weeks. Insanely heavy periods came back, yay. About a month later I am doing much better. Aside from swelling and occasionally sore boobs, I am doing well now. Just wish I could wear my wedding band and engagement ring..
My biggest side effect is weight gain. I gained around 40 pounds when I went off 2 years ago. I went back on and lost 25 pounds. I've gained 10 pounds in the 9 months I've been off now. I also had my horrible cramps return. But I expected that. ETA: I've also had good side effects like a huge increase in my sex drive. So it's not all bad
Yeeeesh. This is truly conflicting evidence. Soooo, basically anything goes?? Yippee. I'm so not excited now.
Sorry! But hey, it's worth it, right? It'll work out..just try to stay positive. :Y: Also, second what biogirl said..the increase in sex drive is awweeesomeeee.

I was really looking forward to the increase in sex drive, but I haven't noticed a change. Hopefully you will have better luck!
