I am making some chocolate cupcakes for a coworker, and we won't be eating it til 11am (co worker loves cake!). I need to bring it to work in the morning though.
My favorite chocolate frosting is a chocolate sour cream frosting (from Martha Stewart), but I worry the frosting won't be able to hold up in room temp at work (no fridge that day). I love the texture, not super sweet, but do you think it'll hold up for a few hours before eaten?

Can you refrigerate the cupcakes/frosting the night before until you get to work? That might prolong it, but I think they'll be fine as long as its not super hot in the room.
