MCC I have PMDD. The doctors put me on 60mg of prozac to help and we had discussed Mirena IUD as an option because it has high success rates in PMDD patients. It was the reason I became suicidal one week every month. I never got to go on Mirena because I got pregnant in the interim, but it's supposedly a big success.

Oh also, I was on klonapin as needed for anxiety attacks and severe swings and that was EXTREMELY helpful. Pregnancy will stop PMDD symptoms (thankfully) but it puts you at a higher risk for post partum depression.
I was talking to friend in college one day about this. Anyways, she said that she went to dr. and the dr suggested she start taking calcium, magnesium and B-12 everyday. She just bought supplements OTC. She said it helped her alot. She and I are both as you described, it's alot to deal with especially when other people aren't understanding abour it.
What about yoga and/or meditation? This helps me with my anxiety. And not hot yoga where you're trying to get a calorie burning workout in. The kind where you slowly stretch and focus on your breath (ashtanga or however you spell it).
www.amazon.com/Source-Naturals-5-HTP-100mg-Capsules/product-reviews/B000GFHPBG I take those in lieu of antidepressants. It helps me a lot, but if you go that route, take it before bed. I notice a change when i stop taking them. They contain no hormones, but regulate the hormones that are naturally occurring in your body. (serotonin and melatonin)
I was also going to suggest meditation and yoga, but it looks like that's been done. lol.. Maybe try a vinyasa or powerflow class, it's a much more fluid and faster paced thing.
BCP aren't an option for me. After battling with fertility issues after being on them for 10 years and TTC with XH, I will never put another hormone in my body.
I'd rather treat the condition than stop the ovulation. I appreciate your response though.
This is me, I hate hormone's and after dealing with IF I refuse to be on anything related to. It's hard because I have really bad Endo and would love to stop my periods, maybe one day I'll change my mind.
I have xanax on hand to take as needed. I don't like the idea of taking something every single day like an AD. I usually only take a few xanax per week so it's not a daily thing for me, but they are great to have on hand when the panic sets in.

Thanks for the recommendation! Ill look into power flow I think they have that at my gym.
I do Vinyasa Flow yoga and it is fast paced for most of the class and then winds down at the end, it really really helps me with my anxiety.

I do hot vinyasa flow classes, and they are not slow paced at all, pretty strenuous at times, yet they relax you afterwards. I used to have pretty severe anxiety myself and it has helped a ton. not to mention the countless other benefits I have found.
MCC- I hope you find some relief. I know the feeling, the worst part is feeling so out of control of your own moods. It's like being possesed.

I also have it....was diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder and PMDD at the same time. I'm not on Hormonal BC (Haven't been for eighteen months) or on meds anymore. Sublingual B complex and Yoga classes have helped me.
