Hello and Welcome to the Seattle Board on ProBoards!
Please introduce yourself, say hello-- I promise, we don't bite. We can't actually physically bite you through the internet, silly. In general, please use your best judgement when posting here-- don't post anything illegal, or plans to do something illegal. Don't share your personal information (unless you want people to find you), definitely don't share any one else's personal information (whether they are part of this online community or not). This includes names, ages, occupations, anything you wouldn't want a bad guy to know about you.
If you have a post directed to moms, is more than 50% about mom/baby/kid related topics, then please use an "@" symbol in the title of your thread.
Please don't spam the board with the name/links of your online (or physical) store, blog, affiliate links, or anything we might find annoying. Occasional mentions are okay, if relevant to the conversation. If you wish, please put your store links in your signature. If it becomes obnoxious, you will receive a warning and be asked to remove the content. "Drive-by advertisements" will be immediately deleted.
Please do not harass anyone or be grossly offensive. Sure, we can poke fun at someone, but keep it to a reasonable degree. Anything seen as excessive, grossly-offensive, and/or obscene will be edited and/or deleted, and the poster will be warned, temporarily banned, or permanently banned. Links to anything obscene will also be deleted.
FAQs
Do I have to live in Seattle to post here? --No. Anyone is allowed to post here whether you live in/near Seattle or not. The only people not allowed to post here is if you hate Seattle for some reason AND don't live here. That's my rule. But if you post here, sure. Just don't be mean.
What does GBCN stand for? --It's kind of a long story. We'll tell you at a get-together one day.
You actually have get-togethers? --Yes! And we love them! Want to meet us? Set up a GTG by surveying the board for dates/times/locations. Again, use your best judgement when meeting people from the internet- start with meeting in a public location. We are not held responsible if we're not as pretty as our Avatar pictures in real life (but trust me, we're a pretty sexxxay group). Where do I get cool smileys? --Use BBcode for adding an image to your post. Here are two lists of some great smileys that we've stolen...err..borrowed. s198.photobucket.com/albums/aa1/KSTrillian/Knotties/#!cpZZ1QQtppZZ20 forum.purseblog.com/misc.php?do=getsmilies&editorid=vB_Editor_001
How do I block someone I'm tired of seeing? --Under their avatar, click on the smiley with the X for a mouth. Click it again to unblock the person.
How do I send a private message? --Click on the envelope under someone's avatar.
"There's an app for that" There is an app for iPhone and Android phones. Search "proboards" in your app market. It's $2.99 for the app. Once you download it:
1. Go to forums on the main screen of the app. 2. Hit the plus sign at the top right to add a forum; it brings you to the link where you need to type in "pandce". This should add the forum. 4. Log in at the bottom.
