So I clearly have a huge dilema. I have about $150. I need to get my hair done (about 1 inch roots and I can barely style it because it's think and the cut is sooo overgrown) and also buy new winter clothes because everything I own is like three sizes way too big for me.
So I need to decide which I should do. Both are technically manageable for the time being, but will get worse with time. And I will have money next month to do whichever I don't do this month. So what say you SO? Hair or clothes?
I think you can manage with the clothes (look on Pinterest for great ideas to maybe work with some of what you have). I would opt for getting your hair done. I know I go crazy when my hair is out of control or I have roots.

I absolutely second this. I "shop" my closet and combine things all the time. You might be able to get some cute cheap layering stuff too on the cheap and accessorize with scarves and stuff (clearly I live in California)
When my hair is bad, it actually gives me anxiety (I am also crazy and get anxiety over chipped nails) so I vote hair 100%%%%.

I have total anxiety about it too!!!! I called and have an appointment tomorrow. Thank god! I think I will feel way better. And good call on the layering. I think I can buy some stuff to go under my larger stuff and utilize belts and what not. Also you totally owe me a hair tutorial video!
OMG I totally blanked sorry. I just PMd you with it. The curling iron itself is crazy expensive but you could totally get a cheaper version. Hope youre having a good week. I miss Portland like crazy!
Can you dye it at home yourself and cut it cut for 30-40$? That would leave you some money to pick up some clothes to get you through until next month.

Oh you far over estimate my hair abilities:) I'm a bottle blonde so I'm pretty sure it would turn out orange. Good idea though!
My mom was a hairdresser so she taught me how to do all that stuff, but I agree that blonde is tricky!
I'm super jealous!!!! I once died my hair red because I was too cheap to keep going to the salon. It didn't turn out bad. Until I decided I wanted to be blonde again and probably tripled my salon costs for a good year of stripping the color out.
