So, so excited! I just got a call with the offer for the job I interviewed for last week (I think I mentioned it here). It's with a great non-profit organization focused on community health through breastfeeding support. My role will be as the project coordinator for the worksite lactation support outreach project, basically working with employers of low/hourly wage to help them comply with the laws and better support working and breastfeeding moms.
It's part-time (good pay for a non-profit, no benefits) which will allow us to have some steady income on my end (it's sometimes feast or famine with my other work), not be on-call, focus on my pp and LC clients and clinical hours, and just be a exciting new thing to use my academic/research/professional background.
I just feel like things are lining up right now. C and I are doing really well, my health and mood are good, we're looking forward to ttc, and now this! Yay!
