I just want to throw it out there that I will be reading Midsummer Night's Dream for a class from October 22-November 11. Since my professor will be holding me accountable for reading it I thought I would offer to hold you accountable, too. It is hard for me to pick up Shakespeare when I don't have anyone telling me I should. I know this overlaps with the Emma readalong. I don't want to step on any toes, so feel free to ignore this. If anyone wants to do both or doesn't have time for a novel but could handle a little Shakespeare let me know. I could also just post things a few weeks after I'll be reading it, too, and start it right when Emma finishes. We can feel this out and I'll post a more detailed schedule when we decide if there is any interest/when it should take place.
That's my favorite too! I wouldn't mind if it overlapped, and I'd definitely be interested in reading along. Are you in a teacher ed program, out of curiosity?
Oooo, I *might* consider this. I really did want to read Shakespeare for the classic read along, but I'm happy to read Emma. I'll have to see how much reading time I have then.

Yes, I am in a teacher education program (secondary ed) as an English major. I've actually finished all of my degree requirements and am just taking my last few teaching classes before a year of student teaching starting next fall. That's why all of my answers to the "what are you reading posts" are YA/Childrens lit. I'm in a class devoted to it.
