The short and long of it

Short -

Good news: K does not have cancer.
Bad news: Jelly Bean burned her hand.

Long -

Good news: K has had a dark spot under her toe nail and apparently that is one of the places that malignant cancer shows up. She was supposed to get it biopsied today but when the podiatrist went to cut part of the toe nail away she was able to confirm that the spot was just a blood bubble of sorts. HTH K bruised her toe in such a weird way is beyond us. And why the thing has been there for several months is another mystery. We will deal with that, but at least for now we know it isn't cancer.

Bad news: Last night Jelly Bean grabbed a metal fork that K had been cooking with and burned her hand. Poor thing has a little blister between her thumb and first finger. She's a rock star though and not only did she hold ice on it forever, she also has no issue with us having it bandaged up. She keeps saying "I have two boo-boos. Doctor fix boo-boo lip [referring to where she had to get stitches]. Boo-boo on hand. No boo-boo this hand [holds up non-injured hand]."

So you've had a long couple days!

Very glad to hear that the cancer scare was just that. Sorry about JBs hand but it sounds like she's handling it wonderfully and will be healed up in no time. Damn kids and the gray hairs they give us

Aww, poor JB! Glad the toe thing didn't turn out to be anything too bad. I hate health scares.
