Hi, I am new to this board. I used to post way back when but it has been a long time. I have spent the better part of my morning reading through posts and hope i can contribute in some way!
I am currently a dietetic student with one year left to finish. I love it!
Hi! I'm starting dietetics school in the fall! I took all my prereqs the last two semesters (there were many, as my degrees are in non-science fields). So far I love it too! I'm waiting to see which of my non-science courses will transfer, but I'll have either three or four semesters of classes, plus my internship. Welcome to the board.

I start my internship next month and have two more classes to finish my masters. Kimsy. I was in your situation. I had a history degree and was going to go to law school. I am so glad I got my BS in nutrition. I believe it is my calling/what I was meant to do with my life. LOVE IT.
I am currently working on plans to go back to school for dietetics as well. It was my original major in college, but I switched to Buisness and have regretted it for 11 years! I am a single parent to 2 kids so it'll probably take me awhile to finish since I don't have the time to raise kids and take a full course load, but I'm so excited! I have a 6 year old with food issues (sensory), so I hope to work more with kids when I eventually finish.
I have a 3 year old son so i know how you feel. I have been done well balancing it all. For me the hardest part is not the classes but getting in all of the work, volunteer work and other stuff that is needed when applying to internships. Currently I do assist with research involving pregnant women and physical activity levels as well as am a teaching assistant and also work in a hospital. It is a lot on top of being a mother and wife. It is doable though and it is amazing the amount of focus when you go back to school as an "adult"

Congrats on getting an internship. I hate that they are so competitive but it has definitely encouraged me to get more involved. I am so nervous for applying! I am kind of limited since I have my son and there are so few openings around here.

Aww you seem like a good candidate for an internship position. If you need help with DICAS, let me know!
