Do any of you have art in your kitchen that isn't related to cooking or food? Would love to see pics of what you have. I want to start thinking about a large poster or print for the kitchen after the reno. I want something that would be pretty in any part of the home, not just the kitchen.
In my kitchen, I have 2 framed vintage travel posters and a small gallery of beach photos. In previous houses, they've been in an office, a powder room, and a guest room. Like you said, they're versatile enough that they belong anywhere in my house and just reflect me, not my kitchen.
Somewhat food related but we have pictures we took in Napa. One is a landscape, one architectural and one is of wine barrels. All are in black and white as our kitchen is black, white, and yellow.
i have wrought iron pieces, ceramic plaques and resins on the soffet above my cabinets. i like architectural art and was able to find a fun mix to bring interest to that space and it isn't too difficult to clean, given its proximity to steam, etc. in the cooking environment.
I love that picture of Audrey Hepburn in the kitchen! I am not sure if I have a picture of it, but we have family and wedding pictures above the cabinets in our kitchen (there isn't a real wall for artwork).
