I posted a question below and someone mentioned Bondi Bands... I remember reading about it on TN, and vaguely remember someone mentioning that there are certain kinds of Bondi Bands that work better than the other (maybe the one with writing on them?)
The solid colored ones (plain or with writing on them) stay put better than the printed ones-I have one printed one and 2-3 solid colored and the former is definitely made of a more slippery fabric. I like them okay, but have developed a slightly unhealthy love for Sweaty Band/Chica Band style headbands (basically printed fabric ribbon on the outside and velvet on the hair side) and feel like they stay on my head way better than any Bondi Band I've used. Chica and Sweaty Bands tend to be a little spendy but I've gotten some on Etsy (Sweet Sweat Bands is one vendor I've used in the past) that have been pretty much identical but less expensive.

I do use Sweaty Bands, as they have been the only thing that stays on my head but even they tend to slowly fall off (but never completely off), and I only run maybe 1 mile since I'm starting the C25K.
I'll check into Chica bands, and thanks for the Etsy rec. Do you find any diff b/w Sweaty Bands vs. Etsy knockoff?
I like the Bondi Bands that are called "heavy/sweat wicking." Some are solids, some have fun sayings. The Sweaty Bands and other velvet-backed styles are decorative and hold bands out of the way, but do nothing for the rivers of sweat pouring down my face.

This is why I just ordered a couple of Bondi bands. I love my sweaty bands, but I want something to keep the sweat out of my eyes. I hope they work for me!

Sweaty bands are cute but I can't imagine them being practical for the way I sweat. Literally, it pours down my face and my hair is SOAKED like I just got out of the shower. It's awful. Bondi bands keep it out of my eyes and I love them. You want the heavy duty ones...either solid or printed are fine.

There's more variety in the ribbon prints, which I love...but as far as quality goes, I haven't noticed a difference yet
I have a generous supply of Bondi Bands, I always wore them when my hair was short, now that it is long I wear hats - I miss my Bondi Bands. Anyway, I always bought the solids with cute sayings on them - they work best for wicking my sweaty-ness.
