Deleting threads

From what I can tell, we can't delete threads we started like we could on TN. I tried to delete my "ask me anything" thread, but it only lets me delete individual posts. It's NBD in this case because there wasn't anything super sensitive in that thread, just wanted to let y'all know that we may not be able to delete entire threads like we're used to.

Maybe this should get added to the privacy announcement up top?

I think you need to ask a mod to delete a thread, but you can delete a post individually on your own, and can lock a thread as well.

A mod can delete a thread. I guess we just need to make sure the mods are online so they can handle it if necessary.

Yes, just page a MOD and the MM mod can delete it for you. I am a MOD on SO board, and I can only delete on that board, not on here.

Can there be more than one mod for a board? If the mod isn't around, then no one would be able to delete a thread.

I figured this was the case, but I don't want to annoy mods with daily requests to delete run-of-the-mill threads. But I'm sure it would be appropriate to ask a mod to delete a post that got truly out of hand.

I wonder if that's something the mods/creators can change in the settings? It's my understanding that the Proboards are very customizable.
