We did at 9 months (although we aren't waiting to introduce anything except honey). DS got one hive on his forehead that went away in 10 minutes so the Dr. said to wait 6 more months before we try again. I have no clue if he is allergic. The kid eats egg noodles, meatloaf, and meatballs (all made with egg) without an issue.
Anyway, even though he may have had a reaction, I was still comfortable with a 9 month introduction.
We starte at like 6 mos but we didn't know we shouldn't. At 1 our dr said we could start, and we told her we already had, and that we didn't know. She didn't mind. It is like introducing all foods, just check for a reaction. Also, we would only introduce 1 thing at a time with in a 3 day period...

We did at like 7 months. Our pedi and GI both said to only wait on honey. DD got a rash all 3 times she had scrambled eggs, but she has no problem with egg that was baked in something. A scratch test and a blood test shows she has a slight allergy to eggwhites. I'm glad we found out now rather than months from now.

I thought you were "supposed" to wait until 12 months to introduce eggs (along with strawberries and peanut butter and I forget what else!!!).
I remember MIL making DD an egg-less first birthday cake because we didn't want her to have a reaction to eggs on her birthday (she was also allergic to dairy, so the allergy-free cake probably came egg-less -- I don't know that we would have bothered otherwise).
Of course, the party line on allergies seems to be changing, and more and more doctors are saying there's no benefit to delaying the introduction of certain foods. But that's a separate issue!!

At DD's 6 month check up last week, the pedi said the latest thinking is that there's no need to wait on allergenic foods like eggs and strawberries. I'm not sure when we'll introduce those types of foods, but I don't plan on waiting until 12 months.
Most people who are allergic to eggs react to the proteins in egg whites, very few are allergic to the proteins in the yolk, so it's reccomended you start with yolk only (at least my pedi). She has sensitivities to a lot of foods though, otherwise it wouldnt worry me so much.
