DH and I went up to Lake Placid to ride the Ironman course. We do this every year with friends. Since I am not racing an Ironman this year, I only did one 56-mile loop. At one point, DH and friend came back to pick up friend's wife and me. DH and I are climbing this hill (he's behind me on my wheel) and this guy in a pickup truck starts honking and yelling at us. He pulled over, so we stopped. I'm not about to get into it with a guy in an F-250, while on my little bike. He actually came down the road and started yelling at us that we are supposed to be riding single file (we were) and that he wishes we would go back to where we came from. Quite entertaining, but a bit scary. He drove off and a mile later, we pulled into the state police station and filed a report. Luckily we didn't hear from him again!
That said, I had a great ride. 56 ridiculously hilly miles in the hot sun in 3:20. One of my best times on that loop.
Then, today I ran 11 miles, which is my longest post-surgery run. Yay!
