First, DS kept screaming when we tried to put him down. DH went in to calm him and noticed he was all sweaty so we changed him into lighter weight PJs, which made me feel guilty that I didn't notice. Poor guy fell asleep on the bed naked.
Than he decided he was going to wake up a billion times. I even tried CIO for a bit, but gave up after 25 minutes of just screaming and DS starting to pull his hair. He fell asleep the minute I picked him up and then held onto me with his super baby strength, making it hard to put him down. But it didn't really matter since he screamed his head off each time I pried him away from me.
Then we finally brought him into bed with us and he kept pushing me over so I slept on about one inch of bed and my whole body hurts.
And then he didn't even sleep that well there. DH is still sleeping, unfair! :-(
I'm so sorry . Before dd I had no idea that sleep was such a constant battle. If you had told me pre kid that sttn was not a continuous thing, I probably wouldn't have believed it. Hopefully it was just a one night teething thing. I have been known to sleep with a baby on my chest on the floor of the nursery during the bad teething nights.
I'm sorry, Kari. That sucks. I had a similar night last night. I think DD and I eah got about 3 hrs of sleep last night. However, while she is energetic and spritely I am dead tired. I bought a big cup of coffee as soon as I got into work today.
It seems DS2's Coxsackie and stomach bug were two separate illnesses. DH and I were each up puking last night. Both kids seem OK today. DH and I are not so great.
There must have been some cosmic baby signal out there telling them all to sleep like crap. My 23 month old daughter was up multiple times. I am exhausted.

This. Except 8 month DS. Sorry Kari. I'm glad you have today off.

I hate this about kids. Why must they have so much energy when they're sleep deprived and/or sick? Why can't they just chill and recover like a civilized human being?

Ha ha. I know right? I think they go into some state of hyper sleep when they do sleep.
