Can somebody help me set this up?

I've made the switch from TN (same SN) and am having some difficulty setting up my profile here. Either I'm really computer illiterate, or you set up your siggy and pictures in a totally different way here than TN.

I cannot seem to get a siggy picture to work, nor can I get a picture under my profile name on the left of my posts. On top of this, I cannot seem to PIP. The help section is somewhat worthless on these topics for me. Anybody willing to walk me through these couple of things? Thanks!
