Today is the beginning of my 6 week challenge at the gym, so that works out perfectly for me
I'm supposed to eat 100% Paleo, drink at least a gallon of water a day, and there isn't a workout goal that I know of but I'm going to try to get in 5 days a week at the box.

I totally fell off the train with vacation in mid-September and the end of the fiscal year (and working crazy hours on a project at work, so lots of takeout!), so it's about time I started back up!

My fitness stuff got.sidelined by this whole medical issue. Weeks.of worry, stress eating, and not.being well enough to work out just isn't conducive to continuing the fitness challenge. Sorry.
I want in on this Paleo shit I think I'm almost doing it anyway... I am gluten free and just eat sugar once a week usually and dairy just a little goat cheese in my salad some times. Am I doing it right?

Basically. You also have to cut out all grains, even the ones that are gluten free. And the sugar you have to make sure isn't in anything. So you need to read a lot of labels because it's hidden in a BUNCH of stuff. It's annoying having to make your own ketchup but you know.
The girls here recommended paleomg.com. And it's AMAZING.
I REALLY like ketchup. I also make my own mayo and BBQ sauce. I'm sort of a condiment whore and you really can't have any sugar at all for paleo to work correctly.

Most people who eat Paleo don't do it 100% all of the time. 80-90% is pretty normal. So if you want a latte a few times a week but eat Paleo the rest of the time, that's okay. Really it's just finding out what works best for you. If you want to eat paleo and still eat a cupcake once a week or something, go for it. eating paleo 80% of the time is better than not doing it at all!

This is how I am. I usually have one cheat meal a week. It seems to keep everything in balance for me. Of course this week's cheat meal turned into a cheat "weekend"
I ate like a gordita while in france and I haven't gained a single pound! Yoohoo! I am back at the gym 3x a week though because I want to lose an extra 15 lbs.
Okay okay I think it might be this, in which case it DOES have a little maltodextrin which is derived from corn, but honestly, it's not enough that I give a shit. There's no fucking way I am making my own ketchup lol though I rarely use ketchup now so I don't even care. I switched to an annies which I think is slightly sweetened but uses agave or something so whatever.

Ha! I put it on a lot of my ground beef stuff. Like meatloaf or hamburger patties. I've been eating a lot of that stuff because I get the meat free from my dad.
I'll probably just keep making my own. But I LOVE to cook so it doesn't really bother me.
Last week, "I used my poor me, I might not have a job in December" pity party to eat like a pig. I put on 2lbs so I started Insanity and low carb eating today again.
Much like stephbfan, I've been using my "I'll be without a job" to not exercise and eat crap. I need to get back at it, but also realized running is causing damage to my foot....I also need to get my ass back on MFP and monitor things again!

Mmmm meatloaf. I need to make meatloaf more often. I love it!
