I have seen a few people mention that sex eod may be better in some cases than daily in the fertile window. What's the reasoning for that? Just curious.

TCOYF recommends it for men with low sperm count. It specifically says if he has regular sperm count (or if it's early and you're assuming he does until informed otherwise), have sex daily. I just read it last night and also thought of the advice I've seen on here, so I'm curious to know where the others got the info, too.

EOD is the "old school" recommendation. Nowadays, most docs will recommend every day, unless you suspect or have confirmed male factor infertility. But some will say AT LEAST every other day, and that can be mis-heard.

I just want to chime in and say sex every day is exhausting lol. Am I alone on this? Is everyone here a sex kitten with bottomless sexual energy? Cause i dont have that. :-D

I would have sex everyday pretty much, but we do 3-4 week due to schedules. But blindy you have a kiddo! OF COURSE sex is exhausting!

That's kind of why I was asking. lol. We have no reason to think he has sperm issues, but since I really don't know exactly when I will O (and not ready to jump on opk wagon yet), I want to cover a wider range of days... But 10 straight days when not on vacation is a bit much for me. lol

Are you charting? Do you temp and do CM? It only takes a minute or two a day. Because you're really only fertile a couple days a month, so finding out more about when you O will save you a lot of needless stress and exhaustion (lol).

I hear ya! Heck, for us it's a 'chore' to even think about it twice a week! But we're old and tired...

Since this is your first cycle charting, if you're unsure of when to concentrate your sexing, and don't want to do it ten days in a row, I would really focus on sex when your CM is good.

And wow, that was a run-on sentence if I ever saw one.
