do i keep her as an fb friend?

most of h's family lives in california....we visit a few times a year, and thus, i've created great relationships with many of his cousins, as if they were my own.

h has one cousin that lives in virginia. i've met him once, but never had a conversation with him. his long-time girlfriend of 10+ years (who wears an e-ring, but isn't "official") that i've never met friended me on fb. i accepted, because i felt like i should. we've been fb friends now for 2, maybe 3+ years. still have never met.

occasionally i'll "like" a status or photo of hers, because i like it...she likes and/or comments on my stuff pretty often...maybe once a week.

she and h's cousin broke up a few months ago, but got back together, but then broke up again. i kept her as a friend because none of the other cousins deleted her.... she now has a new bf. it's super awkward...i don't even know her, and now she has kissy photos, etc, of her and her bf. she's still fb friends with h's cousin. she still comments on my stuff, and would definitely notice if i deleted her.

I'd just keep her as a friend and if you don't like seeing the pics you can hide her. It doesn't sound like its causing any problems keeping her as a friend.

Could you just hide her in your feed? I don't think those are bidirectional. She will see your stuff and comment on it, but you won't see her kissy photos or whatnot.

Honestly, I'm so strict with my Facebook that I look for excuses to delete people. I don't even have my in laws on there- just my immediate family and friends.

I don't like adding people I've never met but sometimes I'll make an exception (if I've had a longstanding internet relationship with them or they're really good friends with a dear friend of mine).

My exes, exes of family members are not people I have on my fb. It's just weird. I don't have a vested interest in their life and I don't feel comfortable keeping people on there to view my business just because I feel guilty LOL
