An OPK question

Hello ladies. I just started charting and using OPK's to get an idea of when I ovulate. I have approx 26 day cycles, FF has me gearing up to O now and until tomorrow. Estimated to O on the 10th. I have the EWCM that is consistent with this time. I started doing OPK's right after AF left due to what the calendar said. Every test I've taken so far has shown a light test line. I know that is not a positive, I find it funny that todays tests have both showed even lighter lines. I would expect a fade in possibly but to taper off right before? I am so a newbie at this so if I'm missing something I'm not surprised. Is it just natural variation?

How many tests a day have you taken and what times of day?
Even when I test twice a day I sometimes miss my peak, so if you just test once a day there's a very decent chance you missed your peak and the last light -but-not-lighter line was the positive. Could also just be a difference in that test. If your guesstimate is O on the 10th, I'd test again today and possible two or 3 times to have a much better chance of catching the peak.

What NL said is totally possible. I didn't pay much attention to my negative tests, but I think there was variation there. For me (this is my first cycle), I was surprised to see that my OPK turned really, obviously, no mistaking it dark and stayed that way for a full 48 hours, fading only after 60 hours.

I'd just keep testing, twice a day if possible. Are you limiting fluids and holding your pee for a bit before you test? Remember that FF is just estimating based on your data and averages; it can't predict exactly when you will ovulate.

I test every morning once a day at least, and did 2x a day for the last two days.Not at the same time. I spaced and forgot time of day mattered on the OPK's not just the temp.

I always have a full bladder in the AM but not necessarily on the PM.

CM is EW'ish and a little almost...chunky? TMI, but I guess you ladies are used to it. Sounds like I O'd already, so that means there is less than a week between the end of AF and O day. Seems soo short??

Cant wait till my Wondfo's get here, the individually wrapped ones in boxes take up so much room in the trash. And I don't want to go back to the dollar store so soon. It's always the same cashier when I go, they are getting to know me too well there haha.

So you ladies think if I would have tested again after the light but not lightest one, I would have seen the peak?
