If you are consistently one of the top performers on your team of 30 (you are usually like 4-5) and you have a system of doing certain things on certain days that has been working for you for the past yr. Now your manger wants you to change your system to one that you know will make you fall short of meeting your goal around 25% of the time.
You explained why this will not work to your manager and they did not listen. You know if you if you fall short of your goal it impacts your annual raise, quarterly bonus and overall status on the team. Furthermore, your manager will want to know why you are not meeting your goal and "forget" they told you to change things.
Another manager of another team that is trying to recruit you to their team. The account is new and the manger is new. Would you go to the new team or suck it up where you are?
FTR your current manger is extremely micro managing, has been pissing me off about similar things for months now and is the same one who made me (a salaried employee) make up 30 mins when I asked to leave early.

Manager is new to the company. So I have no idea about their management style. Account is new but I know I will like the work there. I peaked to see what kind of work and it is almost exactly the same even though it is a different industry.
If the prospective manager is a better boss than your current one, and your earning potential is the same or better, I would go in a second.
If not, I might stay and just keep doing things as I have been. Especially because it sounds like your current manager won't enforce or even remember the new system.
Unless their is some huge business reason why you should change your routine, I would leave if someone told me to do something which would effect my pay/rank just so they could exert their authority where it wasn't needed.

No she has not put it in writing. It is not an official warning or reprimand or anything like that. I have ignored her about other changes she had advised to the entire team before and it has never come back up. So, yes it is possible to ignore her on this too probably but it is ALWAYS something with her. Everyone has complained (to each other) about this manager.

We the account is new so they need to hire new people whether they hire internal or external. I have no idea if they are looking at anyone else from my team. The few trusted people on my team that I spoke to this about had not even heard of the account.
But it is very probable that she would hire from another team maybe. I am sure she would prefer to hire internal rather than external.
Go have lunch with potential new boss and feel her out. See if you can get a vibe for her style. If she's new, she could probably use a rockstar to help her get up and running, your schedule might not be a problem.
My manager is a lot like yours and I have been able to ignore her. She is retiring soon after the new year so I know there is an end. It would also look bad on me if I switched teams so I have dealt with it.

Nah she isn't going anywhere soon. Neither up nor out. Making it sound like I was just looking for a change was my plan
Next Wednesday would be 1yr on this team so it is a perfect time to make a move. Plus people around here (in my same job title, not so much managers) move around alot so there wont be any red flags.
