FU: my cross dressing cousin

His sister kind of spilled the beans to me and I told her that I knew about his tumblr page. This prompted a text to him from her and he was relived and excited that I finally knew.

Here's where it gets really sad, his parents are both hard core catholic, and when he came out to them 2 years ago (crazy, I know. I had no clue he told is parent about being gay, they might actually pass out at the cross dressing thing) they to,d him at he should pray about his sexuality and they're totally in denial. His mom even brought a petition to over turn gay marriage in WA to my grandmas house during the mothers day brunch and asked my family to sign it. I'm very disappointed that some of my family actually signed it, but that's another story for another day.

Anyway, so cousin and I have been texting and fbing about this whole thing. I told him no matter what happens that H and I fully supported him and would back him up whenever he needed us too.

And here's where it gets fun for me! I told him that I had known for a while and that I really wanted to send him some MAC stuff and he got so excited! I got him a few things and we're going to play with make up when he gets back. And then he asked if I would go shopping with him when he gets home in a few weeks.

It makes me so happy that he's finally able to be himself, but it makes me sick that his parents are acting the way they are.

Oh I'm so glad he now knows that you know and totally support him. Agree with Jennuine, I don't have family members buying ME MAC! And I bet it's so comforting to him to have another family member give him that unconditional love and acceptance.

I'm really glad he's out and has at least a few people who love and support him. It's so unfortunate though that he doesn't have his parents' support.
