I am at home, sick. Kidney stones are awesome.

So I am camped out on my couch and watching TV/ doing homework. I guess it's good that I can catch up. It isn't awesome, but it's getting done.

Hubs is putting one baby to bed and I'm nursing the other right now. I have no idea what we'll do once they are asleep. Most likely watch LOST or LOTR since those are two series we wanted to watch again. We are so lame!

Right now Simon is licking my feet because he is a weirdo but I'd rather him lick me than his allergy rash. I'm watching HathoRNe and getting ready to eat dinner and then going to Zumba at 7:30. Fun Fun.

I was chatting with H but his internet must of crapped out. I'm watching Alaska: The Last Frontier currently with a snoring dog next to me. Its getting to the point in the evening where I am wanting to eat all the chocolate I can find. I wish my period would just get here already.

I'm working on making decorations for my friend's bridal shower and was watching the Voice. I was exhausted earlier so I had a cup of coffee around 6ish and now I think I'm going to be up forever.

Another bad news day for me. My grandpa passed away. He was 90 so it was expected and we were lucky to have him around so long. When I am grieving I stay busy and like to bake, so I made chocolate chip pumpkin bread. Then watched Gray's Anatomy & did some HW. DH and I are about to watch a movie and go to sleep.

I am compiling a group paper. Four people wrote different sections and I am trying to making them sound like one. I feel like a serious mean girl with my thoughts on their work. it sucks. Like, some of these people are writing like undergrad freshman (which, is fine if you are an undergrad freshman. not ok for a doctorate program). Like, I couldn't even decipher what the sentence was trying to say kind of bad. And, you know, its supposed to be professional, not like just typing on GBCN. My brain hurts, and I am not sure what these people are going to do when they have to turn in their own papers. The feedback from professors is going to tear apart their papers.

other than that, I am just hanging out with H while he is here visiting, and trying to get through a shit-ton of mid term projects, papers, and tests while still having out with him. Maybe Ill get some sleep in there somewhere, idk.

beans, I've been that person. It sucks. I was part of a group powerpoint for a class, and I pulled it all together. I thought it would be easy b/c I'm a ppt master (which is why I volunteered), but I spent something like 15 hours on the damn thing, rewriting it all. It was awful. I couldn't even get citations. Someone sent me a list, after I had to email asking, that was basically "I got it from x website." Dude, not a citation.

And, yeah, I sent an email to the professor asking if we could provide feedback b/c I was so angry.

I'm at a week long conference for work. Tonight was supper out at an amazing italian place the concierge recommended to my company's marketing manager.

So incredibly stuffed with really yummy food...


Thankfully, the hotel has a gym. I used it this morning, and will be doing so tomorrow, too.

I get to do my presentation tomorrow, too. eek! I'm scheduled to go on twice - once tomorrow afternoon, and once Thursday morning. They've got me scheduled for a couple of the small rooms, which is probably good because my topic is on the fringes of what is normal for this conference.


I'm learning lots while here, at least. It'll come in wonderfully useful for things I need to work on over the next year.

Now, here's hoping I can keep this job after the next PCS...

After our trip this past weekend, I've been dragging and I have a lot to get done around the house. Laundry, dishes, and a trip to the commissary is badly needed. It's not even 2 here yet so I have plenty of time. My motivation is lacking, though.

Tonight was pub trivia after a long break. We sucked ass after being so awesome the last time.

I know it doesn't matter, but I'm still kind of pissed. In one round, of 4 questions, 3 of the topics were basically the same: tv, movie, entertainment. If you're not a pop culture guru, you won't get it. Even when it was something like us history, which gave us hope, it was still entirely pop culture. I know a shitton of random trivia, and none of it was useful tonight. Bah!
