I have a CW (who I usually only speak to on a professional level) mispronounce D's name. He says Dominique. Today was the second time he's done it.
The first time he asked how Dominique was doing. I figured he just made a mistake or something.
The second time I tried to be polite by answering his question, but also saying Dominic's name correctly. For example, 'He's great! We just went to the dr & Dominic now weighs 12.12! He's growing so fast.'
I was hoping that would get the point across. Guess not.
Today, CW asked again about Dominique. I was about to straight out correct him, but got interrupted by another CW.
Do you think it's okay to say something next time like 'Thanks for asking. Did you know his name Dominic, not Dominque?'
