It's sadly pretty cloudy in the western sky here. Not sure if I'll get a glimpse or not. I'm watching it online anyway since we're only getting a partial eclipse here in Denver.
We had some people come into the clinic today wanting some mydriatic specs (the disposable sunglasses we give you after dilating.) For some reason they thought they could stare straight at the sun with those on. Lordy. I hope I don't have a crapload of patients tomorrow who stared straight at the sun with nothing but sunglasses on and now are wondering why they can't see anything at all. Apparently they heard this on the news??? After I boggled for a minute I'm like, "disposable sunglasses from the eyedoc are nothing more than cheap disposable sunglasses!" She said, "oh we heard they were protective." Guess I'm hoping for clouds for that reason.

A friend of mine from Japan posted pics. I was outside when it was happening here, but I didn't notice anything. In fact, we were talking about how we thought there was an eclipse, but no one could remember when. It was apparently going on right during that conversation.
