People on this campus need to get their shit straight. One person says one thing, another says the complete opposite. As a result, we go in circles constantly and I end up redoing work. Get your shit together people! Ugh.

I'm feeling really mellow today. Nothing stressful at work. I love it. It's been AGES since I had days like today. But then again, I'm only half an hour in to the day, so who knows?
I realized I was late yesterday so I took a pregnancy test. It was positive. I'm in shock that it happened so fast. We stopped preventing the beginning of September. And now I'm off to look for a big brother shirt for DS. ;D
I gave up coffee starting today (it was causing stomach issues) and I am not dying!
Most of my law school friends are coming to town on Friday! We are headed to my family's house on Lake Michigan to just relax together for a weekend. Six girls and all the beer and wine we want. No husbands, no kids. It is going to be glorious. I have needed this for so long. I don't even care that the weather is going to suck.

I am going to Utah on Friday to spend the weekend with my BFF! I can't wait. It's probably not going to be MM because I want her to go shopping with me to help find some new clothes. She has expensive taste.
Rave: I feel rested and the weather is beautiful. I might try to take DD out in her K'tan this afternoon if she has an hour or two of acting like a reasonable baby. The exciting life of maternity leave with a newborn!
Vent: I can't believe how dry my house is. I complained about it two days ago but goodness, it is only getting worse. My face is like PEELING OFF and my lips... just awful.
ETA: Sorry I didn't get that this was a happy thread. Although I don't think the dryness of my house is too big of a downer to others.
Get a couple humidifiers. Its the only thing that makes me able to tolerate winter.

My AW.....my little man is taking a couple steps.....he is so close to full on walking. And another one, their birthday is in TWO days. I can't believe they are almost one (and I'm still alive).

You have twins right? Congrats on surviving the 1st year!
This morning, I bought a Groupon for a 4 week boot camp class. It sounds a bit like Crossfit (from what I know of Crossfit, I have never been) but it is run by a local guy. I am going to attend with a coworker and 2 other people who work at my company that I don't know. I'm excited to get a jump start on some strength training and I think it will be fun to do it with other people (and nice to have the accountability of having to meet other people to work out). The only bummer is that it is $120 normally for the package so I'm not sure what happens after 4 weeks, but I won't be continuing at that price. Hopefully I'll learn something I can take back to do on my own?
I am actually in my office to work today. Since Sept, between travel, sick time, daycare issues and the receptionist being out, I've had fewer than 10 days (and most of them with multiple interruptions) to be at my actual desk and move paperwork and catch up. Never mind that I'm typing here....
I also got a spur-of-the-moment cancellation spot with my ostheopath for tomorrow, so I can leave work early and get all the kinks out; bonus to a long weekend! Then Friday we are heading up to Buffalo to visit Niagara Falls and my brother for a few days. It will be C's second country on his passport, so we're hoping the Canadian border guard is willing to do a stamp

Bragplaint: I've been in 5 countries in the past two weeks, and I'm going back to Bogota on Sat with H for a long weekend even though I just got back from there yesterday for work. I love travel, but this is getting a bit excessive, and I have a shit ton of work, so I'm looking forward to hunkering down next week!
But mostly I'm so excited I made it to both Cuba and Colombia.
The threads about husbands' hair has me thinking how adorable my DH is. So handsome. I would like to show him off to all of you, but I am paranoid about privacy.

Yup. Thanks! I don't know how you did it with three!!!!
DH and I are meeting up with my BFF and her DH in Vegas in 3 days! Then on Sunday BFF and I are going to see Madonna at the MGM. We've had these tickets since April. I'm so excited!

People always say that to me but I think I was spoiled because my kids are really good most of the time. Everyone tells us that. I think we are in for it the older they get! We are not having anymore kids but if we did I'm certain the next one would be a hellion.

My kids are good too, it's just exhausting. I worry about another one being a hellion. That's part of my dilemma if I'm done or not.

d0ri - I love the ceiling detail.
My group was excused from jury duty. This means I paid for child care, rescinded my volunteering at the PTA fundraiser and got all my ducks in a row after much headache...and now I don't have to show up. But I get to help out at the fundraiser after all.
The first action alert I wrote for my job has been posted to the organizations website. While I get no writing credit, it's pretty gratifying and awesome to see something I wrote on a website that has a global audience. Yeah me!
Our house was built in 1900 and it has tiny closets. H and I have always shared evenly, but I was starting to run out of room. We reorganized this weekend and he gave me half of his half!
