1. I got a mysterious package from Revolve Clothing yesterday. I couldn't remember ordering from them recently, but hey, sometimes I have some wine and go on an internet spree.

At any rate, it was a box containing their huge fall catalog -- AND A GIFT CARD FOR $200 OFF ANY PURCHASE. This is, like, the best thing that has happened to me in years.

2. One of my two favorite brow threading places just opened a new location 3 blocks from my office. This is big news, because when I get desperate during the week I typically go to the dodgy cheapie place in this area and leave with brows that look like I went to a dodgy cheapie place.

3. And I just started using a Burt's Bees shampoo and my hair feels very soft.

My new windows are being installed today! I really wanted to replace them when we put new siding on last year but to be MM we waited until now when we had the money saved instead of financing.

I'm having lunch today with my old work mentor and some other great ladies from work! I can't wait to just shoot the shit for a hour. Plus my boss is gone today, so I can take a long lunch and no one will notice!

Shobha (which is in Soho, Columbus Circle, Madison & 57th, and somewhere new in the Financial District) or Hibba (Hibba is the one with the new location which is near Bryant Park. The other location is in Soho). They're both threading places.

If you want to go fancier, I've gone to Sania's Brow Bar before and she did a great job, but it was very pricey. She tweezes (which also takes a while).

And Christine Chin is supposed to be great -- I think she waxes.

my boyfriend and i have tickets to the nationals/cardinals playoff game tomorrow. he is 'stuck' in ohio and won't be back in time to go. so he called my dad to see if he would come down from PA and go with me. even though i'm mad at him that was really sweet that he called my dad to bail him out. my dad LOVES baseball and is so excited to go. however he is a huge Yankees fan and will be decked out in Yankees gear.

I ate the last piece of apple pie last night. Guess that means I need to make another! I'd like to make a banana bread too, but I'm at least a banana short. I can't stop my baking compulsion lately.

I'm stupidly excited for my lunch of frozen Stouffer's mac and cheese. We used to eat it all the time growing up, I know it's AWFUL for me but I'll mostly be enjoying the nostalgia.

I got a letter yesterday informing me that I have been at my job for ten years and now will recieve a 2% longevity raise

When I walked my dogs this morning I noticed our male dog couldn't seem to pee, he is at the vet right now with DH. Think positive thoughts for Blue today.

I realized I was late yesterday so I took a pregnancy test. It was positive. I'm in shock that it happened so fast. We stopped preventing the beginning of September. And now I'm off to look for a big brother shirt for DS. ;D

I'm sooo sleepy. But it's lunch time. So I'll go get some food. Then after that, I'll close my office door, turn off the light, then take a nap. ;D

I'm sleepy because I've been waking up at night to go pee. Then I have a hard time going back to sleep.

I'm doing W1D2 of C25K after work. And I haven't had a soda in several days.

My work has been offering in-office yoga sessions for a few weeks now and I stupidly didn't sign up for the last session. An email recently went out about a new session starting in a couple weeks so I made sure to reply right away. I'm excited, I haven't done yoga in years!

I had an up and down day yesterday. I found our I have a stress fracture which means my marathon in 3 weeks in out.

But I got an e-mail saying my journal article is officially accepted for publication right afterwards!
