4 words to sum up my wknd: bug bite on a*hole

I wish I was joking, but Im not!!
We were up @ our cabin, which is Coopers happiest place on earth. Well he was digging himself a trench in the pushed up tree/rock/roots & branches part of the shoreline & I don't know what he got into, but all of a sudden he's sitting up in the grass goin to town on his ass (squee, I can swear!) So I went over to check him out & there was this weird black bug stuck to his ass, but was dead so he must have killed it. I look & his butthole was all red & swollen @ the top & theres a little spot next to it thats bleeding.
& then he hops up & takes like 5 steps & starts squatting like he's going to poop, but nothings coming out, b/c clearly the swelling made it feel like he had to poop!
He was fine after about a 1/2 hr, & the swelling completely went away, & now there's just a red bite just next to his 'hole. Omg....I can't believe I 1. just went into that much of a description about my dogs a-hole, & 2. actually had to closely investigate my dogs a-hole multiple times today!!

Hope he feels better soon. Give him some benedryll. I'm sure it'll help with the allergic reaction he had/has!
