This is Pierre. He'll turn one on Friday, and we're introducing him to Doggie D on Saturday. If it goes well, we plan to bring him home.

It's down to Porter or Peak for his name. We went backpacking in the Adirondacks this past weekend, and Calvin spent the whole weekend trying out "hi Peak!" which of course sounds just like High Peak.

I am trying so hard not to get too excited before it's a done deal.

Why not just call him Pierre if that is his name? I actually hate my dog's name, but it was his name for years so I figured I didn't have any business changing it.

In any case, he is very, very cute!! I want to snuggle him.

The Porter thing is tough. I like it too, but a friend from work (of the type who has been to my house for dinner/I've been to hers and we brought Doggie D to play with her dogs) named her dog Porter on my suggestion about 2 years ago. I'd feel weird following that up with naming my own dog Porter.
