I had mine at 8w4d. I wanted to have it after my missed miscarriage milestone for some peace of mind. My second was NT scan at 11 weeks and my next (besides the elective) will be a day short of 20w or so
We had a first one like 4 weeks ago (I was earlier than I thought). At that one, we saw the baby, fetal pole, yolk sac and heard a heartbeat. But they had us come back 2 weeks after (last Wed- I'm 9w/5d now) and again everything looked and sounded great!
first around 7 weeks, because of spotting. then a second surprise one around 9 weeks bc of cramping and spotting. then NT at 11. next is in 2 weeks for A/S
I had my first at 6 weeks 6 days because they thought I was having development issues because my LMP was in July. Needless to say, my cycle was just screwey and I ovulated later than expected.
At 8 weeks, due to previous history of m/c. Will have another at 12 weeks. Otherwise my ob is super stingy and only does one at 20 weeks. Bright side, baby!

iamsnazzy - don't be surprised if they don't test your HCG at all. Many OBs feel that the urine tests are accurate enough that they won't test the HCG unless there are issues (e.g. spotting) to make sure it's rising. You might just have your weight and blood pressure taken, and your first ultrasound scheduled for about 8 weeks.

My first appointment was just medical history, pee in a cup, bp check, and weight. They gave me a bunch of papers about classes at the hospital and what fish not to eat and all that jazz

I'm so sorry about your miscarriage. Your OB might take that into consideration, but not necessarily. HCG is not a good indication of how far along you are (although the doubling is important), and at not quite 5 weeks they typically won't be able to see anything on an ultrasound anyway (which might understandably freak you out unnecessarily). Talk to your OB about your concerns and see what happens. ((hugs))
