Really?? I loved it.
I loved the scenes with Don and Joan. And with Joan and Roger -- they're openly talking about how Kevin is Roger's son!
I'm also enjoying the slooow return to the old Don. Not that I wish an unhappy marriage on Megan, but happy, satisfied Don made for a boring Don-at-work. When he said the whole office would be spending the next six weekends working I nearly cheered.
Poor Lane is seriously in trouble. If he'd only been honest, I bet one of the other partners would have lent him the money. That is SO going to blow up in his Russian fur hat wearing face.

I'd be surprised if they weren't open about it. She went to him about it when she got KU last season.
I also loved the Don and Joanie scenes tonight. DH and I were a little paranoid that something was going to happen, or that they were heading in that direction. Hopefully they won't go there.
The Harry Krishna thing was interesting, but it seemed liked a distraction from the main characters.
I LOVED the Don & Joan scenes. Ditto OP about sexual equals. I want Don & Megan to do well. I think she'd be happy to hear about his new vigor. As she said to him: "you used to love advertising."
Lane - whoa. I can't believe he committed fraud and is cooking the books. That's HUGE!
I do not at all understand the need to include the Hare Krishna storyline. I feel like this season Mad Men has gone out of it's way to include every single 60's stereotype in a plotline. It seems...gratuitous.
Lane. Oh Lane....what did you do? I will be interested to see how he got himself into this mess in the first place.
The scene with Joan and Don was awesome. Best scene of the night. I did notice everything about that scene was a throwback - from the styles people were wearing in the bar to the music playing. As far as Joan and Roger - I'm a little surprised she isn't taking money from him - it is his kid after all. Hoping something good comes her way.
i loved this week's epi. so many people have complained about not getting enough story centered on the 2nd tier characters, but this week had plenty. and i can never have enough joan! i felt so badly for lane. he seems like a such a "good" guy, so i hope that doesn't come back to bite him in the ass... though i'm sure it will.

I thought this episode was just ok.
I loved the Joan and Don interaction though.
Poor Lane. I can't believe he wrote that check. I also was thinking if he had just explained the situation in the beginning (or come up with some kind of an excuse), Don would have let him take the bonus early. But I guess whatever trouble he had gotten himself into he was too embarrassed to talk about. Don has more than a few skeleton's in his closet so I'm sure he would have understood.
I agree the Hare Krishna stuff was just weird in this episode.
I liked the Joan and Don interaction but that's about it with this episode. In general Harry bothers me so the Hare Krishna stuff really annoyed me. I'm curious what's going to happen with Lane. I go back and forth on how I feel about his character.
I really like Lane so I was disappointed to see him like this. I loved the interplay between Don and Joan. I'm looking forward to next week, the previews had a scene where it looked like Trudy was calling out Pete (love Trudy and can't stand Pete).
I'm really getting tired of Lane. I'm not sure he's fitting into the overall storyline anymore. Every scene with him, I just wanted to get back to the rest of the action.
The Hare Krishna stuff was weird...but interesting to check on Paul.
Joan + Don = gold. I hope they don't go to that well too often though.
It made me wonder if we'll see Sal again. I miss his character.
I LOVED Sal! I was so sad when he left, especially under those circumstances. :-(
Joan and Don should have a Regis-and-Kathy-Lee style morning show. They would be drunk and awesome at 8 a.m.
:Y:
I liked how Joan called Roger out when he offered to give her money, saying she's just another girl he's giving money to, and then there will be another in a week or two. Then he turned the tables on her when the flowers showed up, asking her how many times over the past few years he's had to bring her flowers from another guy.
And speaking of flowers...they were from Don, right?
The Hare Krishna stuff was a little strange to me, too. I still don't think I understand what the chick was doing when she banged Harry and then got pissy with him. I don't fully understand why she wanted him to stay away from Paul so badly.

Yeah, I think Don just can't have both. He can't be successful at work and at home at the same time. It'll be interesting to see which one wins out.
The most surprising part of this episode was hearing there are only 3 episodes left. WTH! These seasons are too damn short.
It was weird seeing Paul and I'm not really sure why they brought him back. It also seems odd to me that they are making Harry less likable, when he used to be one of the most likable characters (though, I guess he did end up helping Paul out, to some extent).
Don and Joan together are always the best. The scenes are rare, but always awesome.
Lane, meh. I've never been crazy about him. So, to make sure, did they say why he is in trouble/owes money? If so, i completely missed it. I'm assuming they didn't, though, and that is something that will come up at the end of the season?
I got the impression that he didn't properly withhold taxes he owed to the UK. I think his lawyer said something like, "You gave the Queen's portion to...[something I didn't catch]"
