With DD, i was able to work from home, which was nice, so a week before, i started doing that. DD came a few days before my due date. Probably do the same for this next one also. I'll probably WFH a week or 2 before the baby is due.
It was a week after my due date. Induction scheduled for the next day. The very first day I new benefits at work after a merger that would give me more paid time off. I would have 3 wks paid under old, had 10 with new.
I came into work and clocked in at 7:30am. E was born at 9:32 am. It was a busy 2 hours.
The best was walking into my bosses office at 7:35 or so telling her I didn't feel well. She has three kids. She pretty much had to tell me I was in labor.
Wow! How long did you stay at work?
I have a friend who stayed with a co-worked while the poor woman delivered her baby in the gym in their office building because she stayed at work too long.
H probably got there to pick me up around 8, went to the Drs office, he checked me, then went across the street to the hospital and checked in. I was not in the hospital for more than 30 min tops.

With DS, I stopped working around 39 weeks. He was born in December, and I had to use my leave before the calendar year ended anyway. Unfortunately, he was 9 days late, so I lost out on maternity leave time. Even though it was during the holidays, I had nothing to do but go for walks to try to induce labor.
DD was a scheduled c/s, and I worked until the day before.
With DS1, I planned to go out two weeks before my due date. I had a two-hour, each way, public transportation commute, and I didn't feel comfortable doing it. It didn't matter because my dr. pulled me out at 37 weeks for HBP, and I had him a few days later.
DS2, I WAH and planned to work until I went into labor, which I did three weeks early on a Sunday night. I emailed everyone before leaving for the hospital and told them I wouldn't be working the next day .. or again for another eight weeks.
I had planned to work until I went into labor but then for various reasons, my doctor decided to schedule me for an induction at 40w1d. Knowing I had an end date, I decided to take off the 2 days before the scheduled induction so I could get last minutes things done (namely a pedicure, important I know). I ended up going into labor the evening of the first day I took off and delivering on my due date.

Yep - well - I never went into labor - but yeah, I worked up to that point. Though, my boss let me work from home for the last 2 weeks (because it was Jan/Feb and she didn't want me on the roads in a snowstorm).

With DD2 I did. I was actually out delivering newspapers while having contractions! I woke up that morning with light cramps and decided to call my mom to go along with me and help (it was the PM papers). Thankfully she did, or else I may have had DD2 along the road somewhere!

I have a desk job. With DD who is now almost 4, I worked from home that last two weeks. She was almost born the night before her due date but then things stopped and I went home. I was able to work a little bit until she was born 4 days past her due date. Though I wasn't nearly as productive as at work.
With DS who just turned 1, I had to stop working two weeks before his due date because my SI joints hurt too bad. I worked from home a little bit. He was born 1 week before his due date.
Pretty much. Went to my 38wk appt on a Friday, BP was high... did pre-e testing over the weekend, induction started on Monday, DD born Wednesday night.
With DS, I was working p/t and my boss was basically terrified I'd go into labor in the office, so the last few weeks I worked from home. In the end I had transitioned all my work off so I didn't have a lot to do. DS was 9 days late.
Yes, both times I worked up until I was in labor. I really wished I had longer STD or even 100% paid STD. I was ready to tap out of work weeks prior to delivery.
I planned to work until I went into labor both times (or at least until my due date), but I never made it to my due date either time. With both pregnancies, I went to the doctor for regular appointments and was admitted for an induction (at 38 and 39 weeks).
I did. I had DD 10 days early and went into labor on my own on a Saturday and she was born Sunday, so my maternity leave just started early the next day.
Yes, I work half a night then went straight to the hospital because of bleeding. I was not in hard labor yet so I went back home and slept for a few hrs. and return just in time to have baby. I was working 12 hr shifts 6 days a week for the whole time so I was tired and slept through most my labor. The nurses said they had never seen anyone sleep through labor. I would wake up when a really bad pain hit then back out. Mom said it was the funnies thing. Easy deliver just pushed once.
For my first baby I was in a great amount of pain for 23 hrs. It was hell, so that is why I did not stay at the hospital when I had the option to stay or go home.
my last day worked was 38w5d, and that's just cause i was lazy. other than being a little tired, i was feeling fine. i went into labor 38w6d, but late at night, so i technically could've worked one more day.

I worked until I went into preterm labor and sprung a leak at 31 weeks. For the next two weeks, they kept me in the hospital on bed rest and then I ruptured completely and ds was born.

With DS I was a student, doing pharmacy school rotations. I was off for 10 days before my edd but about 3 weeks before he was born. With DD I left my last shift at work 12 hrs before labor started.
