I think I've read that it's common to bleed more after some kind of exertion like a walk, breast feeding, etc. call if you'd like, but I think you're fine.
I had light-period like bleeding until about 4 weeks PP? and then spotting after that. I didn't stop wearing a pantiliner until about 8 weeks PP I think.
My bleeding more or less stopped at 2 weeks and then suddenly picked back up at 4. I have no idea if you should call your ob, but mine stopped a few days later.

I bled on and off for 7 weeks. In the beginning it was much heavier and then tappered off. But when I would walk a lot or lift heavier things I would bleed a bit more. Also, my coloring was brown most of the time. It never really turned to bright pink.

I had light (but heavier than spotting) bleeding until 9 weeks pp and spotted until 12 weeks pp. My OB was not concerned. The internet had me fairly convinced that I was dying, though.
ETA: In the hospital, the OB who discharged me said to expect 4-7 weeks of bleeding. At my 6-week checkup, my OB said to call if was still heavier than spotting at 10 weeks pp.

This is so discouraging. I was starting to taper off and was hoping that it was almost done, but then this morning I had a lot of new bright red stuff. Like filled an overnight pad and felt like my water broke. I guess this is what we get for having no period for 9 months.
I bled a lot less after my c/s than I did after my vbac. But even with the c/s I bled for 8 weeks. I think the last 2 weeks were the start of my period though because despite BFing like I was a wet nurse around the clock, AF came back almost immediately.
I thought you just bled for a few days after you gave birth. Not 7-10 weeks.
This thought coming to you from someone who has never gone though childbirth.
There is a LOT of stuff that comes out following the birth.
Softball sized clots are not unusual.
And yes, it can last a long, long time.
I know clots are common, but are softball sized clots really normal?
I had clots that size, and that's how they knew I was hemmoraging and needed an emergency D&C. The nurses were on high alet the minute I mentioned the size of the clots I was having.

I should say "up to softball size" LOL. That was the criteria my OB used for okay or not okay.
I definitely had some baseball sized ones. Ick.
I thought the to be concerned size was larger than a lemon.

It sounds like different OBs have different rules about clots & when to call. My OB said to call if I had clots larger than golf ball size. (I never did) My heaviest bleeding was while I was still in hospital. It was medium from 3-7 days pp, then light for another 7-10 days. I did notice the flow was heavier on days when I was more active.
