Seriously, I may end up in an orange jumpsuit by the end of the day.

Co-worker 1: "Is it hard to keep J from knowing you favor G since she's your REAL child?".

Co-worker 2: (after hearing me talking about ttc #3 with someone else) "Do you think it's wise to spend so much money trying to have a kid? Maybe God is telling you 2 is enough. (FTR- she wrongly assumed the 8 year gap in our kids was due to IF and that we are paying for IF treatments to ttc.)

Just to be clear, these comments were not from the same conversations.

I am guessing one of your kids is adopted. Both those comments were completely out of line. Wow! If you want I have a place in the UK where we could hide you?

Yeah, sorry I should have been more clear but I was blinded by rage.

DD1 is J and she is nine. DD2 is G and she is 18 months. J is adopted. We don't have any IF issues, but people seem to assume you only adopt if you do.

None of these comments were made by people I know very well, but it's fairly common knowledge that I have shitty co-workers. It took all of my strength to respond calmly, but firmly.
