I dont remember when you are due exactly, will it still be cool out when the baby comes?
I was reminded of you today when I saw a woman with her baby in an Ergo carrier with her coat zipped up around both of them. Might be a reason to splurge on a maternity/large coat.
I'm due at the end of March, so I will be pregnant all through winter. It will be starting to warm up when the baby is due, but we could always get snow at that time, still.
I think once the really cold temps hit and I can no longer even fit into my fleece which I wear at home, I may end up splurging.
I just bought an XL parka from Old Navy when they had them on a one day sale for $16. It got me through pregnancy (but I was due in May, so I wasn't at my hugest when it was cold) and was big enough to wear over DS the first winter.
But I fully admit this was not the most stylish solution.

I bought an M coat when I was pregnant with my first and due in February. Didn't need for my second, with a September due date. Glad I'll have it for my third, due mid-January.
I ended up buying it off craigslist for a couple hundred, and they're pretty expensive new but I really like having it.
