It finally happened, one year after giving birth, I got my first period. HOLY SHIT! I can't keep up with the bleeding. I feel fine, no cramps, but it is HEAVY. Is this normal? Is this how it will always be? Please tell me it's just the first one that's like this!!!
I did not bf. I got my first pp period at 7 weeks pp. I thought I was dying & went to the ER. There were bloody footprints up & down the hall. That's how bad it was. Since then my periods have been so easy, lighter, far less cramps, shorter in duration. It's been awesome.

My first couple of PP periods were awful, super heavy and really hard to contain, and longgggg. They are much better now, but still not as light as they used to be pre-pregnancy.
Mine periods have been ridiculously heavy since having kids (although shorter than before). I had them from the time DS1 was 6 months until he was 23 months and I got pregnant with DS2, then again from the time DS2 was 6 months until he was 2.5 years and I got pregnant with #3. They never got any better. It sucks really bad.
Mine were/are awful: I only had one between my pregnancies, but since #2 they've been ungodly heavy and slightly longer than I remember.
I don't know if it's just being pp that's to blame, or if I just don't remember what non-BCP periods were like, but I swear they weren't this bad.
I finally jumped on the Diva Cup bandwagon this month (thanks, MM!) after struggling to keep up w/my first couple of pp periods this time around. It has been nothing short of awesome.

Mine were much worse after btw DS and DD. haven't had one yet since DD was born, and part of me hopes she doesn't weak for a while so I don't have to deal with them yet!
