We are in West Virginia to visit my husband's extended family. His mother flew here to meet us. She didn't rent a car. She complained that her siblings didn't drive her to the right places at the right times. Today she assumed that we would drive her around. That is all well and good, but we have a Fit with two car seats in the back. She never even asked if we had room for her. Now I have to squeeze in the back, because she can't.
Oh well, my kids are lucky to have a grandmother that wants to spend time with them.

Vent: SIL is complaining on FB that M is going to be a shark for Halloween. Because you know we picked that costume "just to push her buttons & we'd better not post pictures!" She's nuts. (I'm not actually mad but I am giving her the side eye)
Random: I'm super excited for this weekend! We have M's 9mo pictures & we're going to the pumpkin patch this weekend, yay ;D

Whats the problem with being a shark? Is she afraid? Or is it a sports team thing?
My Mom always does this "click/tsk" noise when she is around the baby. All the time. Not just to play or distract, but almost like she cant help it. It annoys me. I realize this is silly.
I took off the BDing in my chart. I am way to embrassed about how much BD we have been doing this month.
Oh and my kid is super cute lately. I am really enjoying the 2-3 age range. We are going to the fair tomorrow and I am getting a Fletcher's corn dog. She is so excited and telling everyone how she is getting a corn dog with Mama. DH hates corn dogs so he is trying swing her his way.

My MIL does this noise as well. It drives me crazy. I know it's silly as well, but it is so annoying. DS is 2 and he just ignores it, so I don't even know why she keeps making the noise. Just use his name if you want him to look at you!

Vent: the line on my HPT was soooo faint this morning I'm still not sure it actually was there. I am going crazy not knowing what is going on. Hopefully tomorrow's is definitive!

Oooooooh- fingers crossed!!!
Vent: I have been waiting for my period to arrive for over a week and I've been super bitchy the whole time. I also can't focus at all at work. I don't remember PMSing this much before I got pg with DD.
Random AW: I think I am going to be switching to a new position at work! It will be nice to learn something new and everyone seems to be on board with the change. I've been in such funk with everything that I hope this will snap me out of it.

!!! Good luck! What kind of test was it?
It's a wondfo. I seriously could be imagining it which is why I am not calling it a BFP yet, lol. But DH said he thought he saw it too, so I'm hopeful.
I'm in a wedding this weekend, and though I had my dress altered last week with extra fabric sewn in, as of last night, it's really, really tight.
I'm tied up most of tomorrow, and all day Sunday (wedding day). I'm frustrated. I have to be at the bride's parent's house by like 6:40am on Sunday for an afternoon wedding. They want us to have ample time to get our hair done and do our makeup. I'm exhausted, and will have to wake up shortly after 5am to get dressed and then make the drive. ugh

PIP!
I didn't take a picture. I thought there was no way it would show up if I could barely see it squinting IRL.
We are taking our kids to a music festival this evening to hear Florence and the Machine and the Black Keys. I can't decide if this makes us bad parents, cool parents, or both.

Vent: My boss made a request of me yesterday afternoon. To get back to him, I needed to some info from London (boss and I are on the west coast). An hour after he made the request, he was bugging me about where the info was. I'm still pissed that he bugged me every hour until I got the info back from London. I'm not a magician and I can't pull numbers out of my ass!
AW: One of my good friends just told me that she worked out with DH all the details of a baby shower for me, and all I have to do is show up

No vents - since J is finally better after the cold and GI illness, it's allll good at our house.
Random: Our MOMS club had a demo from Music Together yesterday and J couldn't get enough. Even the instructor commented that he was totally into it. I'm bummed that we missed the fall session registration, but we're so in for January. I've been hoping to find a fun class for J, but didn't want to spend the money if he didn't seem into it (demo classes at My Gym/Gymboree were meh for him). I'm really glad that this was a no brainer- I think he is going to love having this class weekly.

Cool parents! I'm trying to figure out if I can bring my baby to a festival at 8 weeks this summer but if not I'm definitely going summer 2014.

Ooh good luck! how many dpo are you?
I'm 10 DPO. This is the only time I have ever thought I have maybe seen a line, so FX. I am trying not to get excited incase it really isn't one.

I think you should get a FRER and test tomorrow or Sunday. I got a weird imaginary line on an IC last Friday but a clear, obvious positive on a FRER on Saturday morning.
Yeah I'm going to Target on my way home so I figure there's no way I'm leaving there without some type of test
Whhhyyyy did God have to give babies teeth? Seriously? DS got two teeth at 4 months, another two at 6 months, and another FOUR (!!!!) last week. I know he's not biting me on purpose, the teeth are just in the way. His latch seems wide enough, but his top teeth dig into my areola when he chugs hard during a letdown. UGH!

As long as it is pretty chill and not too loud, I think you can totally do it. We had both our kids in slings at Austin City Limits when they were babies. We just stay way at the back where it is not too loud and we are away from the smoke and crazy drunk people, and we avoid the bands that are less kid-appropriate. There are always quite a few families with small kids that end up kind of making a family area--spreading out blankets, picnicing, letting the toddlers do cute little dances, etc. It is a totally different festival experience than our child-free friends will be having, but it is very fun nonetheless.
