So many fun things lately. My daughter is the biggest fashion diva ever. She love long dresses, boots and anything girlie. She has to be the one who decides what she wears for the day. I find this so intriguing since I am the exact opposite.
Justjen- my dd does the same thing. It's so adorable. Usually its followed by her locking legs and letting a major fart or poop rip. not so cute, but hilarious as she looks so satisfied with herself.
My dd just recently started cooing and smiling a ton. I love that she is more engaging and really seems to react to us now.
Whenever I sneeze, DS says "bess oooo" now. So cute. He did it while he was half asleep the other night and I sneezed while I was putting him to bed. Sweet boy.
I have discovered that DS will happily splash around at the kitchen sink for about half an hour. I just pull a chair up, put in the plug and let the water run really slowly, and give him a few cups and some random stuff (strainer, funnel, spoon). He's not allowed to have bubbles because he drinks a bunch of the water. It's pretty cute, and pretty fun for mom (I can do whatever I want without tripping over him!).

I tell DS that everyday he's somehow gotten cuter. He giggles so hard at peekaboo now (he's 5 mo) and when I kiss his neck. He's also started sleeping on his side with one arm thrown across his eyes. Just kills me for some reason.

She is a babbling fool. She wakes up so happy in the morning, and I just lay there listening to her talk and sing to herself for a bit before I go and get her. And she is so happy to see me. Just melts my heart!
DS loves to play in the dog's water bowl but he knows he's not supposed to. He'll look back at me to see if I'm watching when he reaches his hand in. Most of the time he just sits there with his hand submerged in the water.
He's also learning that the dog loves to eat the food he drops on the floor and he's started doing it on purpose.
My gal was just looking through the Right Start catalog, pointing at things and exclaiming, "Oh, Mommy! My baby sister is going to have that! She's going to love it!"
I love how excited she is to meet her baby sister.

That works in our house, too. J is OBSESSED with water and fountains, so the kitchen sink is like gold to him. This also worked out quite well this week during the diaper rash from hell - playing in the sink kept him happy and let me get the gunk off his bum without a screaming fit.

J likes to play with my hair (has since he was tiny) and has now started to throw his arms around my neck and almost self-soothe by running his fingers through the hair. It's like he's giving me a hug at the same time and I can't get enough. It's just the best!
He is loving his hippo ball popper and crawls after the balls so he can grab them and then toss them back into the toy. It's also hilarious when he pancakes on the floor to watch the balls roll out of the hippo's mouth, too.
He is in such a fun age right now - H and I are both loving it!
DS has never liked taking a bath, until now. He LOVES cups, so my mom had the brilliant idea to buy him a set of measuring cups. Every time DS sees them, the look on his face is "cups with handles! Oh.my.GOD." I gave them to him in the bath and he loooooves them. They float, which mesmerized him, and he clacks them together and against the sides of the tub. Finally, after 7 months of screeching and crying, he loves taking a bath!
On the downside though, he figured out yesterday how to scoop up water with the measuring cup and fling it. There was water everywhere . He thought it was hilarious. He hasn't gotten the hang of aiming down yet, but when he does I will get very wet. Maybe time to buy him some measuring spoons for bath time instead.

You should buy some stacking cups. They have holes in the bottom so you can use them in the bath!
She likes to sleep with her stuffed kitty cat under one arm, her baby under the other and her blankie under her belly. It takes her forever to get situated.
