Squirms really loves looking at her black and white cards/books and the colorful pictures in Eric Carle's books. Her eyes get really big and she will smile at each new page. I LOVE it.
DS has never liked taking a bath, until now. He LOVES cups, so my mom had the brilliant idea to buy him a set of measuring cups. Every time DS sees them, the look on his face is "cups with handles! Oh.my.GOD." I gave them to him in the bath and he loooooves them. They float, which mesmerized him, and he clacks them together and against the sides of the tub. Finally, after 7 months of screeching and crying, he loves taking a bath!
On the downside though, he figured out yesterday how to scoop up water with the measuring cup and fling it. There was water everywhere . He thought it was hilarious. He hasn't gotten the hang of aiming down yet, but when he does I will get very wet. Maybe time to buy him some measuring spoons for bath time instead.
You should buy some stacking cups. They have holes in the bottom so you can use them in the bath!

DD1 is becoming so imaginative. When she plays, her stuffed animals/little people/ponies hold actual conversations and she acts out scenarios with them. Her favorite game is playing hide and seek with her stuffed animals - she hides them somewhere, counts to 5, and then goes to "find" them. It's amazing how much she has seemed to learn in the past year.
DD2 is starting to talk up a storm. She can say goodbye, up, momma, dadda, and has recently learned to say "no" while shaking her head. It's adorable. She talks nonstop although I can't make out most of the words. She's started imitating animal sounds, too, and her saying "woof woof" kills me everytime.
V has started talking a lot in the last few weeks. She has about 15 words including "eat cheese!" which she says every morning. The sad thing is, she still doesn't say, "mama." She has said "dada" forever and points at him in pictures when he's gone...when I point at myself and ask who it is, she is mute. Sad mama.
DD seems to be over the colicky baby stage and moving into the cute stage. Lots of smiles, giggling, cooing. When we pull her into a standing position, she gets the biggest smile on her face like she's so proud of herself. It's really cute.
DS has calmed down in the last few weeks and has been much happier.
He's learning and repeating everything. He will shout out letters and numbers that he sees. He's saying lots of things. I love how friendly he is with other kids and adults. Always saying "hi" and being very sweet.
He is quite the little daredevil and terrifying his mommy with his antics.
